Autumn Look And Loves

November 06, 2014

Hello guys! I'm very happy to be doing this post on Ilonas blog, and I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it ! I personally love autumn, or 'fall' as US people call it. I'm a big fan of all the cosy sweaters that replace the skimpy summer dresses in my wardrobe, the cozy late candlelit evenings watching a film whilst indulging in my favourite tea from Kusmi, and why not a homemade biscuit to go with it? The colder months is also the time of year when I get into highly moisturising face masks and the one I'm particularly enjoying this year is from Origins and its the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask that I apply just before going to bed, after removing my makeup and cleansing my skin. Since a few weeks back when the leaves started falling off the trees, and walks in the park turned me into an annoying child that absolutely has to step on the dried leaves to hear that satisfying 'crunch'- I have found myself matching my eyeshadow to the beautiful yellow, red and auburn shades you can see in nature at this time of the year. Therefor I have created this look for you guys, and I hope you like it! If you would like to see more, head over to WillowJolie for some good old beauty chat, I'll be waiting for you !

List of products used: Before I applied any eyeshadow I used the Nars Eyeshadow Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base allover the lid and let it dry whilst I went in under the eye with the wonderful concealer; Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer from Maybelline. *And breathe*. On my eyes I've used the red shade from the Clinique's 'All About Eyes' 03 Morning Java and blended it with the golden one from the same palette. On the crease I have used the darkest shade from the palette to add a bit of dimension to my eyes, by applying the product to the crease and shading to avoid any sharp edges. To fill out my brows I went for a product I hadn't yet tried until today and it was the Brow Architect Brow Shaper from Tarte Cosmetics- a perfect waxy ashy brown that is very easy to work with. I wouldn't say its as good as my all time favourite, Brow Wiz from Anastasia Beverly Hills but its still a good enough product that I would use again. To make sure my T-zone stays nice and matte all day long I used a new favourite by Soap and Glory- the Kickass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder, a brilliant translucent powder that simply 'blurs' your skin out to look as healthy and even as possible. On my lips is a dark beauty from Mac and the shade is 'Hung Up', its has a cremesheen finish for ultimate gloss and lustre, its not a color for the shy one but I find it to be the perfect shade for that vampy look! To finish off this Autumn look I curled my lashes with the cult tool from Shu Uemura before coating my lashes with a generous amount of L'oreal Manga Mascara which I have loved for a while now.
